Several centuries of art purchases by the Chinese might start to make a small dent in the destruction of China's great artistic heritage that the Chinese government brought about with the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. Let them buy as much western art as they please. China's own heritage is gone forever, except for a tiny fraction preserved safely for the future on Taiwan.

I wish the author would add a key word "art" in the title of this article to avoid miss-leading people. Too many articles about China bucked the trend nowadays, being economical, political, or geo / social.
